With a new baby at our house it would be great to actually have meals planned out for us so I could have more time to spend with my kids and more time for homeschooling!

Putting together amazing activities,  planning detailed themes, writing curriculum, and implementing it all with students of many different ages is a joy and a pleasure.  However, it leaves us lacking in time and energy for the necessary tasks of meal planning, ingredient list making, and grocery shopping.

SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH E-MEALZ MEAL PLANSE-Mealz is an online service committed to giving teachers and moms a break by creating weekly menus and assembling the ingredient lists.  In addition, E-Mealz promises to keep meals affordable without the need for stock piling or couponing, while still keeping their valuable service incredibly affordable.
My family has been experimenting with E-Mealz for several weeks.  To begin, choose your perfect plan from a variety of options. Menu plan options are available for large families or couples. They consider your favorite grocery store, as well as speciality needs such as: gluten free, low carb, low fat, vegitarian, and portion control diets.

After choosing your menu plan print off one or two weeks worth of menus (the site displays two weeks - current week & previous).  I put the meal plans in plastic sleeves, one side showing the menu and the other side showing the pre-planned shopping list.

Shop, Unload, Cook, Serve, Smile!
(Let someone else in your family do the clean up so you can head back to your lesson planning, grading, and crafting)
Easy, right?

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES

Before trying E-Mealz I was a bit worried that our grocery bill would increase based on unusual ingredient lists sometimes found on meal planning services.  I wondered if the weekly menus would include main dishes that our family would actually enjoy. I was also skeptical about whether we could pull of the menu plan with my limited time and limited cooking saavy.

The plan I chose to try with my family was a grocery store specific plan.  In fact, I tried the Aldi meal plan  because I have argued in the past that it would not be possible to get all of the groceries for a week's worth of meals in that one stop.  I guess I was wrong. During the first week we enjoyed six of the seven meals on our plan (we crossed off one of the days and planned on ordering pizza that night instead).

The recipes all had fairly short ingredient lists and all of the instructions for each meal fit in a small grid box (which means they aren't very complicated!). Some of the meals are designated as "easy meals" or "crock pot" meals.  Those tags are my fave!

We have now used five week's worth of menus.   We have found that our grocery bill actually went down during the first full month of E-Mealz.  I am also excited about the fantastic line up of new recipe ideas I've collected. The plans have encouraged me to try some new flavors that we typically don't include in our menu.  After a couple nights of rave reviews from our kids my husband wanted in on the new secret. I'm more motivated to make dinner and I am spending less time in the grocery store.
The cost of the service is a very reasonable $1.25 a week and would be worth every penny to me!Emealz - Easy Meals for Busy People!

  2. I have eyed this service a time or two. I'm not sure it would save me a bunch of extra time, but I am certain it would save me a bunch of frustration! The hardest part for me, is figuring out what to make. I'd love to try this, and would likely choose the "any store" option for the family, since I've never hear of most of those stores in my area. Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. What a great idea. I go to kraft foods a lot for meal plans, but love how ezmeals has set there's up. Between teaching and coaching in the evenings. I would love to win this to help my family eat goods meals instead of my husband feeding them pizza and nuggets for most of the nights!! lemontj@rsu5.org

  16. I need to try this...my family would thank me! I don't think I would fill in my saved time with anything. I just need to simplify my life. There is always something that needs to be done.

  17. I would love to try this - I have such a hard time planning meals and I know this would help cut our grocery bill down and give us more of a variety of recipes to try.

I am debating if the Diet one would be a good idea or the budget one would fit better with our family - either plan though would be a huge help!
