Pick and Draw is a fun, one-of-a-kind drawing game, created by the talened Rich Davis, that teaches you how to make very creative cartoon faces. It is simple and easy to use providing endless hours of fun and learning. Rich put this game together to teach others how to draw. His desire is that it is enjoyable and that players of all ages will gain confidence in their unique abilities to create.
The game deck include 5 sets of sturdy, color coded cards for creating cartoon characters: face shape, nose shape, eyes, mouth, and hair. There are also step by step instruction cards for playing the game, with drawing tips from the artist himself. You supply the blank paper and a pencil.

According to his site, there are 60,000 different character possibilities in one deck of cards. We found almost all of the shapes to be simple enough for anyone to try drawing. The game can be played in a very short amount of time or can be used to fill endless hours with creativity, drawing, and writing prompt fun. The first few rounds we played as a family, but now that they have the hang of it the kids pick it up to play on their own or with each other. There is no limit to the number of people that can play at one time.
After creating the goofy characters with pencil we used markers to give them color, speech bubbles, names, and more. What a hit! There are so many possibilities for extension activities, yet it is a blast all by itself. This game will be a must have on our summer camping packing list for the rainy days when we are stuck inside the camper.

So, who is using this great game for loads of entertainment and everyday learning?
~My Four and Five Year Olds: gaining confidence in their ability to follow instruction, draw simple shapes, create hilarious characters, and give them names and stories

  30. Wow! I need this game. My son is in kindergarten and still draws stick figures. It is the one area he doesn't have confidence and this game would be perfect! I hope I win, I hope I win, I hope I win . . . if not, I'll have to buy it. (And he's just a struggling artist like me. I am horrible at drawing.)
