Now on to the party ideas!
This Sleepover Cake is made with twinkies and vanilla wafers and is just one special touch Bobbi from Casa Camacho added to her daughter's seventh birthday party. There was lots of girly pampering, cute table decorations, and even sleeping bag races.
The year previously Bobbi's daughter celebrated with an Alice in Wonderland theme, complete with a Mad Hatter Tea Party and pin the tail on the Chesire Cat.
We wish we were all lucky enough to have a friend who could make this wonderful castle out of appliance boxes for the Princess Party that Anne from Teaching Two threw for her daughter. The castle cake they enjoyed is equally impressive and the three stations of activities were designed to be fun for the princess in every little girl.
Megan at Ducks in a Row celebrated her little lady's second birthday with a Lady Bug Themed party. They put out red ink pads, white paper, and black fine-tipped markers so the guests could make their own thumbprint ladybugs, just like the ones on the invitations. We love their craft idea, that also helped hold down the tablecloths at this outdoor party.
These lady bug plate are easy to make: Just take two dessert plates, cut a quarter out of one and glue to the bottom plate. Make a U shaped head out of a third plate, punch holes, string through pipe cleaner and roll ends, and glue on. For party favors, Katie from Katie's Nesting Spot made cute lady bug clippies and suggests creating invitations digitally to email out, saving money. The same clip art was used to coordinate the invitations, favor bags, and photo pendant decoration.
We plan on some special announcements next week as well as more great giveaways so please plan to come back and join us! Thanks for making our first birthday week celebration so special!
