Kid Made Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Welcome! New to ABC and 123?
Please check out our FAQ in the left sidebar.

With Mother's Day this weekend, we wanted to share some of our favorite ideas for gifts your child can make by him or herself or with a little help. If you've got a great gift that you've posted, be sure to let us know in the comments and we'll add it in!

The Ramblings of a Crazy Woman shared these cute hanging frames made from CD jewel cases.

Missy from Two Little Monkeys used photographs to make these silhouettes of her two twin girls. She shares a great tutorial. Thanks for telling us about this in the comment section!
Just Deanna made this Mommy and Me Kid's Illustration Tote, what a fun gift for the Grandmas or you!
Four Crazy Kings made this necklace with beads made out of Model Magic. It's lighter than clay so it's not too heavy to wear, because you just know it's going to be your new favorite accessory!

The Princess with a Half Priced Tiara made this fun picture hangings with her sons to give to Grammie. She used an inexpenive puzzle from a Dollar Store to make it, but wouldn't it also be a great way to use up pieces from puzzles that are missing pieces.

Letters, Numbers, and Books, Oh My! gives step by step instructions on how to make Mom a bouquet that lasts.

Lara at Play, Explore, and Learn made these cute mod podged flower vases by upcycling empty rootbeer bottles. You have to see how proud her son is of his vase, all filled up with pretty flowers for mom!

Even the youngest artists can make this two layer painted pot project, just perfect for some Mother's Day flowers!

Give the handmade pot with this darling picture frame "card" and give Mom or Grandma a Mother's Day card that doubles as a keepsake. Both pot and card can be found on Katie's Nesting Spot.

Another really fun Mother's Day Card idea comes from Zakka Life, we love this Handprint Paper Clay Card.

Speaking of cards, check out this cute one by Her Cup Overfloweth, the inside reads "Thank you for walking the path before me and showing me how to love," what a lovely sentiment and we love how it includes your child's footprints!

Family Fun suggests this neat sounding idea for turning soap into one of a kind works of art. This Love Note Flip Book looks like a great heartfelt present your child can make, but if your child needs a little more direction when writing a book here is another option, also from Family Fun.

24/7 MOMS recently posted a complilation from around the web of simple kid made gifts for mom. The Handwarming Mug and I Love You Jar are our favorites.

Daniella's Place has a number of good kid craft ideas that would make great presents. Check out the decorated soap, voltive candle holder made with tissue paper, painted pot holder, ribbon flower pin, and pipe cleaner flower craft.

Kaboose also has several fun ideas. The Mother's Day Coupon Book would be a great project for an elementary aged child and there is even a step by step video. The Fridge Family Portrait is a great way to upcycle an outdated calendar magnet. The Felted Recipe Box makes a handy present and uses an old envelope box. You can also find a number of great kid made Mother's Day card ideas, like this Gardening Mother's Day Card that includes a packet of seeds and these Fingerprint Cards.
